Gwangju 2019 FINA World Championships———

Jon’s Bio

  • At the Gwangju 2019 FINA World Championships, McKay finished 24th in the 10-km open water race.
  • McKay won gold in the 10-km open water race at the 2019 Canadian Open Water Trials. His performance qualified him for the 2019 FINA World Championships, his first senior national team.
  • At the 2018 Western Canadian Championships, McKay captured bronze in the 1,500-m freestyle.
  • At the 2017 Mel Zajac Jr. International, McKay won gold in the 1,500-m freestyle and earned bronze in the 800-m freestyle.
  • At the 2015 FISU Summer Universiade in Gwangju, Mckay finished eighth in the 1,500-m freestyle.
  • At the 2014 Junior Pan Pacific Championships, McKay earned silver in the 1,500-m freestyle.
