Evan’s Bio

  • At the 13th FINA World Swimming Championships (25-m) in Windsor, Ont. White had two personal best times on his way to an 18th place finish in the 100-m medley and a 17th place finish in the 200-m medley.
  • At the 2016 Canadian Swimming Championships in Edmonton, White finished with a bronze medal in the men’s 4×100-m medley relay.
  • At the 2016 Olympic & Para-swimming Trials in Toronto, White finished with a silver medal in the 200-m IM.
  • At the Toronto 2015 Pan Am Games, White earned himself a fourth-place finish in the 200-m medley.
  • Evan White finished second in the 200-m individual medley at the 2015 Team Canada Trials to earn a spot on the Pan American Games team.
  • In 2014, White qualified for his first senior national team in style, winning the 200-metre individual medley at the 2014 Canadian Swimming Trials in Victoria.
  • He represented Canada at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland, with his best individual finish a ninth place in the 200-m IM. He also swam the 4×100 freestyle relay, which finished fourth, and the butterfly leg of the fifth-place medley relay. He was also selected to the 2014 Pan Pacific Championships but was unable to compete due to a hand injury.
  • Later in 2013 he competed at the Barcelona and Canet stops of the Mare Nostrum swimming circuit as part of Swimming Canada’s Development Program Tour, taking home his first senior international medal by winning bronze in the 200 IM.
  • White lowered his own 15-17 National Age Group record in the 200 IM and became the 2013 Summer National Champion in the event.
  • He subsequently qualified for the 4th FINA World Junior Championships in Dubai, where he finished fifth in the 200-m individual medley and helped the men’s 4×100-m freestyle relay to a fourth-place result.
  • In 2012 White made his first national junior team for the Junior Pan Pacific Championships in Hawaii, which he lists as a career highlight.
  • As a junior he also represented Canada at the 2013 Australian Youth Olympic Festival, where he won a silver medal in the 200-m individual medley and bronze in the 400-m IM.
