Jeremy’s Bio

    • Was part of the team that took bronze in the 4×200 freestyle relay and helped the 4×100 freestyle relay team secure a spot in the final where the team would go on to take bronze at the 2023 Pan American Games in Santiago, Chile. Bagshaw would also finish sixth individually in 200-metre freestyle.
    • Bagshaw was named to the team for the Fukuoka 2023 World Aquatics Championships to provide depth for the men’s relays after his performances at the Bell Canadian Swimming Trials.
    • Bagshaw swam in the preliminaries for the 4×100-m freestyle relay that earned bronze at the 2022 Commonwealth Games. He was also a member of the 4×200-m freestyle relay that finished 5th. Individually, Bagshaw finished 11th in the 400-m freestyle and 17th in the 200-m freestyle.
    • At the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games, Bagshaw was a member of the 4×200-m freestyle relay team that finished fourth. He also raced in the prelims for the 4×100-m freestyle relay that finished fifth. Individually, Bagshaw finished fifth in the 400-m freestyle.
    • At the 2022 FINA World Championships in Budapest, Bagshaw finished 21st in the 400-m freestyle and was part of the men’s 4×200-m freestyle relay team that finished 11th.
    • Bagshaw won the 400-m freestyle at the 2022 Bell Canadian Swimming Trials. Bagshaw also earned bronze in the 200-m freestyle, earning a spot representing Canada at both the 2022 FINA World Championships and the 2022 Commonwealth Games.
    • At the 2019 FINA World Championships in Gwangju, Korea, Bagshaw was a member of the men’s 4×200-m freestyle team that finished 17th.
    • At the 2019 Canadian Swimming Trials, Bagshaw finished third in the 200-m freestyle to qualify for his third FINA World Championships.
    • At the 2018 Pan Pacific Championships in Tokyo, Bagshaw finished 12th in the 800-m freestyle and 14th in the 200-m freestyle.
    • He finished 16th in the 400 free at the 2017 FINA World Championships in Budapest in a personal best time, then went on to finish 6th at Universiade.
    • At the 2016 FINA World Swimming Championships (25-m) in Windsor, Ont. Bagshaw competed in the 200-m freestyle (34th) and 400-m freestyle (21st). Both freestyle events were in personal best times for Bagshaw. He was also a member of 4×50-m medley relay (10th) and 4×200-m freestyle relay (12th).
    • Bagshaw earned a bronze medal in the 4×200-m freestyle at the Toronto 2015 Pan Am Games with teammates Ryan Cochrane, Stefan Milosevic, and Alec Page.
    • In 2014, he helped the University of California Golden Bears to an NCAA title finishing second in the 1,650- yard freestyle behind American Olympian and multiple international medallist Connor Jaeger.
    • He was born in Singapore and moved to Canada as a child. He speaks three languages – English, French and Mandarin.
    • His National Development Team Program experience includes a bronze medal in the 200-m freestyle at the 2010 Youth Olympic Games in Singapore.
