Lorne’s Bio

  • At the 2024 Olympic & Paralympic Swimming Trials, presented by Bell, Wigginton finished third in the 200metre freestyle, earning him a spot on the 4×200-m freestyle relay at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, his first 
  • At the 2024 World Aquatics Championships in Doha, Wigginton qualified for his first final in the 400-metre individual medley, placing 7th.
  • Wigginton advanced to the semifinal in the 200-metre individual medley, finishing 13th.
  • Wigginton contributed to the 10th place 4×200 freestyle relay.
  • During preliminary heats, Wigginton broke the boys 15-17 age group record in the 200-metre individual medley at his first World Aquatics Championships in 2023 in Fukuoka, Japan. He finished ninth.
  • Qualified for his first senior World Championships team by winning the men’s 400 IM at the 2023 Bell Canadian Swimming Trials.
  • Broke the Canadian Age Group Record (15-17) in the 400-m individual medley at the 2023 Bell Canadian Swimming Trials
